Jay  is a Hard of Hearing child in a hearing world, she is learning to navigate being the only Hard of Hearing person, in a large family of hearing people. In her mind the
world is very quiet, because she can barely hear the whisper of hearing people low voices, she feel like she always have to strain her voice just to be heard.
